How We Talk About God

"Lo, God is great beyond our knowledge" Job 36:26

Talking about God isn't as easy as it should be. Human words do a poor job of describing God. For instance, God is not simply good. God defines what it means to be good. Here are some papers about how we talk about God.

• "Why Isn't God Red" - This paper discusses how we use language to talk about God.
  

• "Can We Trust Religious Experience To Help Us Know God? " - This paper discusses how do we use our religious experiences to help us understand God.

• "Doctrine of the Trinity:  Is It Practical?" - This paper discusses how we describe the Trinity.

We need to know how we can talk about God for two reasons. First, to help us grow in our own personal relationship with Jesus. Then, as we grow ourselves, we are called to share the faith through evangelization.

We experience God's presence through the Holy Spirit? The challenge is to be aware of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
