After the Penitential Rite comes the \u2018ancient hymn of praise,\u2019 “The Gloria.”\u00a0 At first glance, it may seem to have changed a lot.\u00a0 What has changed is the order of the words.\u00a0 The order of the words for the first six lines is very different but it is mostly the same words.\u00a0 The word order simply repeats the order in Latin which emphasizes our action to praise, bless, adore, and glorify God for all the wonderful things he has done for us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
