{"id":240,"date":"2010-06-12T20:24:16","date_gmt":"2010-06-13T00:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/renewaloffaith.org\/blog\/?p=240"},"modified":"2010-06-12T20:24:16","modified_gmt":"2010-06-13T00:24:16","slug":"reminder-of-guidelines-for-commenting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.renewaloffaith.org\/blog\/reminder-of-guidelines-for-commenting\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder of Guidelines for Commenting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I maintain this blog to help educate people about our Catholic faith.\u00a0 My desire is to always have constructive and polite dialogue.\u00a0 I have been writing for this blog since late January 2010 and for over a year before that on a parish blog.\u00a0 In that time I have allowed comments from people who disagree with me and do my best to respond to them.<\/p>\n<p>Until today the only comments that I have deleted without posting were spam.\u00a0 Today I received a comment on my posting about Catholic Annulments.\u00a0 The writer disagrees with me and says that annulments are just Catholic divorce.\u00a0 I can understand that person&#8217;s opinion.\u00a0 That is not the reason I am removing the comment.\u00a0 The writer chose to use curse words and to be &#8220;un-civil.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You can find the &#8220;Guidelines for Commenting&#8221; on my blog by clicking on the tab near the upper-right corner of your screen.\u00a0 Please follow these guidelines.\u00a0 It really does bother me to censure comments.\u00a0 I was tempted to just ignore the comment but I felt the need to be honest to any regular readers and admit that there are people who disagree with me even if I feel it appropriate to post their comment.<\/p>\n<p>Peace,<\/p>\n<p>Fr.
